Thoreau not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 9, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Wingate Bears with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Thoreau not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Wingate between 14 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.

Kayleigh Dodge paced Thoreau's offense, picking up nine kills. Dodge got some help from Keira Begay and her 19 assists. Begay was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Thoreau and bumps their season record up to 6-9. As for Wingate, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

Coincidentally, Thoreau and Wingate will both be playing Crownpoint the next time they take the court. The Hawks will host the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bears will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
