Football Recap: Savoy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Savoy's offense. They were outmatched by the King's Academy Knights and fell 49-0. The Cardinals' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

King's Academy found their leader in sophomore Adam Huval, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 20 total tackles (4.0 for loss). Jacob Pearce was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards.

Savoy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for King's Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Savoy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 58-12 defeat against Greenville Christian on the 19th. As for King's Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Trinidad at 7:00 p.m. on the 27th. The Knights will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
