Softball Recap: Rome Takes a Loss

Rome had lost six straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 7-11 to make it seven. They fell just short of the New Manchester Jaguar by a score of 11-10. Even if the Wolves couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

As for New Manchester, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 4, 2024.

For New Manchester's part, Brianna Battle was excellent, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double. Da'Najah Williams was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rome will welcome East Paulding at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Manchester, they will face off against Douglas County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
