Softball Recap: Fort Lupton Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Fort Lupton had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 4-9 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Alameda Pirates a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Bluedevils have won four contests by more than 11 runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Alameda, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. They haven't had much luck with Fort Lupton recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

For Alameda's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andi Padilla, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Padilla has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

Coming up, Fort Lupton will face off against Boulder at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Alameda, they will challenge Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
