Baseball Game Preview: Paideia Pythons vs. Westlake Lions

The Paideia Pythons will square off against the Westlake Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Paideia was able to grind out a solid victory over Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, taking the game 4-1. The Pythons haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Westlake came tearing into last Friday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 11-7. 11 seems to be a good number for the Lions as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Westlake's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-11. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Paideia, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.
