Volleyball Game Preview: Nimitz Vikings vs. Lake Highlands Wildcats

Nimitz hasn't had much luck against Lake Highlands recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Nimitz was able to grind out a solid win over MacArthur, taking the game 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-20, 17-25, 25-15, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Lake Highlands came tearing into Friday's contest with nine straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 3-1.

While Lake Highlands might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Pearce scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-21, 25-20.

Lake Highlands' victory bumped their record up to 25-7. As for Nimitz, their win bumped their record up to 9-15.

Nimitz might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Lake Highlands in their previous meeting back in September. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Wildcats' Carrigan Anderly, who had five aces and four digs.
