Football Recap: Zuni Takes a Loss

Zuni fell victim to Wingate and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Bears, falling 41-0. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, the Thunderbirds' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Zuni's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Wingate, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Zuni will square off against Gallup at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wingate, they will venture away from home to take on Shiprock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears will be up against the Chieftains' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
