Sunnyslope had won three straight games and Kelton Rogers did his part to make it four on Friday. The Vikings blew past the Paradise Valley Trojans 59-13 with plenty of help from Rogers, who rushed for 153 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries, and also picked up 39 receiving yards and one TD. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Sunnyslope, adding 17 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Patrick Ross, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Sunnyslope didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ross, Tommy Reeve, Joseph Lee, and Brendon Camp picked up one apiece. Ross got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
When it comes to explaining why Paradise Valley lost, don't look at Alonzo Gonzales. Despite the final result, he picked up 180 receiving yards and one touchdown. The Trojans are 2-1 when Gonzales posts 100 or more receiving yards, but 2-4 otherwise.
Sunnyslope's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Paradise Valley, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-5.

That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Rogers and Fredrick 'CP' Parsons.
