Football Recap: Circle Takes a Loss

Circle played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 43-16 defeat at the hands of the Mulvane Wildcats. The Thunderbirds were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Circle still got an impressive performance from Dominic Sawyer, who picked up 189 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Sawyer also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles and defending one pass.

This is the second loss in a row for Circle and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Mulvane, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Circle didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-20 defeat against Buhler on the 26th. As for Mulvane, they have also already played their next matchup, a 26-23 win against Augusta on the 26th.
