Baseball Recap: Douglas County Takes a Loss

Douglas County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 15-5 to the Westlake Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-4 last Tuesday.

Nayland Patton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February.

Douglas County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Westlake, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

While Douglas County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
