Football Recap: Columbus Crusaders Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Columbus Crusaders and Tomball Christian HomeSchool squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Columbus Crusaders had to settle for second. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 38-12. Columbus Crusaders was red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the three games prior), but Tomball Christian HomeSchool's defense proved too tough.

Tomball Christian HomeSchool's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Abraham, who rushed for 52 yards and one TD on only five carries, and also picked up 56 receiving yards. Luke Harrison was another key player, picking up 57 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Columbus Crusaders moved to 10-2 with that loss, which also ended their ten-game winning streak. As for Tomball Christian HomeSchool, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Columbus Crusaders does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tomball Christian HomeSchool, they will challenge Christ Prep Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points in their last nine matchups.
