Softball Recap: Eagle Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Eagle Valley was riding high fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Middle Park on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Devils came up short against the Montrose Red Hawks on Saturday, falling 8-1. The Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Eagle Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Brueck, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Brueck is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

Eagle Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-2. As for Montrose, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Eagle Valley has already played their next match, a 6-0 loss against Rifle on the 9th. Montrose has also already played their next game (against Grand Junction), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
