Baseball Game Preview: Deerfield-Windsor Knights vs. Valwood Valiants

The Deerfield-Windsor Knights will square off against the Valwood Valiants at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games Deerfield-Windsor has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Deerfield-Windsor is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since April 29, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Southwest Georgia Academy by a score of 4-2.

Meanwhile, Valwood had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Warriors. Considering the Valiants have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Valwood let Triston White and Dax Womack run wild. White went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Womack went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That home run was White's first of the season. Maddox Coile was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Valwood's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Deerfield-Windsor, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5-1.
