Softball Recap: Deer Creek Takes a Loss

Deer Creek's last matchup with Stillwater could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. The Antlers lost 16-7 to the Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-8 back in August.

Deer Creek has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Stillwater, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deer Creek will take on Perkins-Tryon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Demons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Stillwater, they are taking a road trip to face off against Coweta at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
