Softball Recap: Fort Lupton Takes a Loss

Fort Lupton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 17-7 to The Academy Wildcats. If the Bluedevils were looking for revenge after losing 12-3 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fort Lupton's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for The Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-10 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Fort Lupton will square off against Eaton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Reds' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Bluedevils' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for The Academy, they will face off against Peak to Peak at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
