Softball Recap: Mountain View Victorious + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mill Creek, Mountain View was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Norcross Blue Devils by a score of 9-6. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won seven in a row.

Gillian Brooks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Peyton Patterson was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Olivia Storey was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Norcross, they dropped their record down to 6-18 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Mountain View will host Collins Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Norcross, they will head out on the road to face off against Brookwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
