Baseball Recap: Earlville Comes Up Short

Earlville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Stark County Rebels, falling 18-8. Even though they lost, the Red Raiders' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Earlville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Declan Brennan, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-2. Brennan has become a key player for the Red Raiders: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least one home run, but 4-11 otherwise. Another was Aaden Browder, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Earlville's record is now 6-12. As for Stark County, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-23 record.

Earlville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stark County, they will take on Triopia at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trojans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
