Softball Recap: Alliance Comes Up Short

Alliance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Chadron Cardinals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, with their most recent defeat being a 15-2 loss on Saturday.

Alliance's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Chadron, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alliance will challenge Scottsbluff on Tuesday. As for Chadron, they will square off against Chase County at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.89 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
