Basketball Recap: Makayla Presser-Palmer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northwestern over Wekiva

Northwestern's tournament run continued when they took on Wekiva on Friday. The Wildcats fell 36-28 to the Mustangs. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Northwestern lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Makayla Presser-Palmer, who posted 15 points. Her afternoon made it 30 games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Northwestern and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Wekiva, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
