Appling County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Wheeler County Bulldogs. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Appling County's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Wheeler County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Coming up, Appling County will take on Pierce County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wheeler County, they are taking a road trip to take on Hawkinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
