Softball Game Preview: Fort Lupton Bluedevils vs. The Academy Wildcats

The Fort Lupton Bluedevils will face off against The Academy Wildcats at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Fort Lupton has given up an average of 12.9 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Fort Lupton saw some tournament action on Friday. They lost 14-2 to Silver Creek. The Bluedevils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, The Academy came up short against Weld Central on Friday and fell 12-9.

Finley Stark was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs, four RBI, and one stolen base while going 2-for-4. Savannah Tolitsky was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Fort Lupton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Fort Lupton might still be hurting after the 12-3 loss they got from The Academy when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Can the Bluedevils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
