Softball Recap: Washington County Comes Up Short

Washington County fell victim to Bleckley County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Royals. The game marked the first time this year in which the Golden Hawks were not able to get on the board.

Washington County's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for Bleckley County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Washington County will square off against rival Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bleckley County is set to take on their familiar foe Jefferson County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
