Hoxie is 9-1 against Decatur Community since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Indians will welcome the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Hoxie put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 60-14 victory over Stockton. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Mat Bretz produced another solid effort rushing for 46 yards and two touchdowns, while also catching one TD. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss). Another player making a difference was Chase Meyer, who threw for 57 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hoxie was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 396 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Hoxie's defense and their three sacks. Kellen Cressler was especially locked on to Stockton's QB and sacked him twice.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Decatur Community, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They came out on top against St. Francis by a score of 38-28 on Friday.

Decatur Community's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Hoxie, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Hoxie against Decatur Community when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 45-12 victory. In that matchup, the Indians amassed a halftime lead of 26-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
