Football Game Preview: Apollo Eagles vs. Holdingford Huskers

The Apollo Eagles will square off against the Holdingford Huskers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Apollo, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized Holdingford's (thus far) undefeated season.

On Friday, Apollo had to suffer through a 76-6 loss at the hands of Pierz. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Pioneers are ranked seventh).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holdingford). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Melrose 61-26. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-14.

Apollo's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Holdingford, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
