Football Recap: C.H. Yoe Comes Up Short + How To Watch

C.H. Yoe came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 42-13 loss at the hands of the Lorena Leopards. While losing is never fun, the Yoemen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 491st, while the Leopards are ranked 149th).

Despite the loss, C.H. Yoe still got an impressive performance from De'Marques Lopez-Pinchback, who rushed for 100 yards and one score.

It was another big night for Jaxon Blancett, who threw for 151 yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one TD on the ground for Lorena. Parker Bottoms was in the mix too, providing the Leopards with one score.

C.H. Yoe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lorena, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

C.H. Yoe wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 42-32 win against Mexia on the 26th. As for Lorena, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lampasas at 7:00 p.m. on October 2. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 860 yards in their previous games.
