Cibola had to endure a nine-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Farmington Scorpions on Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2. This was a revenge game for Cibola: when they faced off against Farmington on October 4th, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Cibola hit Farmington with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Malachi Leo, Caden Barnard, and Josh Stagen.

Cibola's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 3-16. As for Farmington, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cibola will take on rival Volcano Vista at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Farmington is set to square off against their familiar foe Piedra Vista at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
