Softball Game Preview: Bleckley County Royals vs. Swainsboro Tigers

Bleckley County is a perfect 6-0 against Swainsboro since August of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Royals will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Bleckley County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

On Thursday, Bleckley County earned a 7-4 win over Dublin.

Raeya Dominy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Lyric Stephens was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emmie Williams, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Swainsboro didn't have quite enough to beat Toombs County on Thursday and fell 4-3.

Swainsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Bleckley County, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.

Everything went Bleckley County's way against Swainsboro when the teams last played back in September of 2023, as Bleckley County made off with an 18-2 win. Will the Royals repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
