Football Recap: Ravenswood Comes Up Short

Ravenswood fell victim to Clay County and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Panthers 41-0. If the Red Devils were looking for revenge after losing 55-6 to the Panthers when the teams met back in October of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ravenswood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jonathan Williams, Owen Curtis, and Kalem Hupp picked up one apiece.

Ravenswood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Clay County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Ravenswood is set to square off against their familiar foe Ritchie County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Clay County will take on rival Braxton County at 7:30 p.m. on November 7.
