Baseball Recap: Stagg Comes Up Short

Stagg lost to Homewood-Flossmoor on Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Chargers fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 3-2. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stagg's defeat dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-14 record this season.

Stagg will challenge Argo at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, they will take on Lemont at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Lemont HS' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
