Cedar Hill came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Mesquite Skeeters with a sharp 30-7 victory. The Longhorns might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Omowale Muhammid was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 143 yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one score on the ground. Those 143 passing yards gave him a new career-high.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Cedar Hill proved: they limited Mesquite to a paltry 0.8 yards per carry. The Longhorns' ground attack was stronger, having averaged five.

Cedar Hill's record is now 5-1. As for Mesquite, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
