continues with the MaxPreps Freshman All-America Team, highlighted by
National Freshman of the Year
Cameron Boozer of
Columbus (Miami, Fla.).
Boozer, a 6-foot-8 forward, averaged 18.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.2 blocks to lead the Explorers to Florida's Class 7A state title and the No. 18 spot in the final MaxPreps Top 25 rankings. He posted 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the 45-44 state title game victory.
The highly-regarded Class of 2025 prospect joins a list of past winners that includes Mavin Bagley III, LaMelo Ball and Onyeka Okongwu. See the full list of past MaxPreps Freshmen of the Year at the bottom of the page.
Selections are based on team success, individual production and local,
regional and state honors from the recently-completed season. Potential
at the college and professional level is not a primary consideration.
Players in post-graduate and non-scholastic programs are not eligible

MAXPREPS NATIONAL FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR
6-8 | Forward
Averaged 18.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.2 blocks during a stellar debut campaign. The son of former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer led the Explorers to the state title in Florida's highest classification.
6-4 | Guard
Although he doesn't have quite as much hype as his brother, Cayden demonstrated the potential to play at the highest level. He averaged 16.6 points, 5.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds to help Columbus capture the 7A state crown.
6-5 | Guard
Despite missing a handful of games due to injury, Easter earned Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association All-Ohio Division IV second team honors after averaging 25 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists.
6-8 | Forward
Elite prospect led Perry (25-5) to its first Class 6A state championship, averaging 15.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
6-5 | Guard
Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association Division II first team selection averaged 26.1 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals to lead the Royals (16-8) to the second round of the state tournament.

6-8 | Forward
MaxPreps
Maine Player of the Year averaged 20.5 points, 10 rebounds, 6.2
assists, 3.7 steals and 3.7 blocks to lead the Warriors (21-2) to the
Class A state title. He recorded 22 points and 16 rebounds in the state
title game.
6-5 | Wing
Concluded the season as the leading scorer for his team after averaging 20.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists. Jones guided the Rams (21-8) to the second round of the Class 7A state tournament.
6-4 | Guard
Led the Lions (22-7) to the Class 3A state quarterfinals, averaging a team-high 23.7 points to go along with 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.9 steals.
6-4 | Guard
All-state selection averaged 16.5 points and 6.3 rebounds while starting every game for 20-win St. Mary's Prep.
6-10 | Center
Dallas Morning News Newcomer of the Year averaged 14.4 points and 8.5 rebounds to help the Indians go 15-11.
Third Team
6-0 | Guard
Played a big role for the Crusaders (26-4) who finished the year ranked No. 14 in the final MaxPreps Top 25 rankings. Carbuccia averaged 11.4 points, 3.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 40 percent from the field.
6-4 | Guard
Highly
touted guard prospect averaged 15.2 points to help the Jackrabbits
(22-7) reach the first round of the CIF Division I state tournament.
6-8 | Forward
Although the Knights (25-5) were upset in the second round of the GHSA Class AA state tournament, Tiller showed promise averaging 12.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks.

The
only freshman to earn Washington Post All-Met honors, Ward averaged
27.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.4 steals to guide the Lions
to the first round of the MPSSAA Class 2A state tournament.

Averaged
21.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and two assists to lead the Lancers (22-12)
to the CIF Division I Southern Section championship. Hall dropped a
season high 44 points in a 84-71 win over Vista on Jan. 11.
6-5 | Wing
Versatile prospect filled the stat sheet, averaging 13.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.3 blocks to help Milwaukee Academy of Science (23-6) to the Divsion 4 state title game.
6-4 | Guard
Despite missing the final 13 games of the season due to injury, Harrington averaged 13.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.1 steals while shooting 48 percent from the field.
6-7 | Wing
Averaged
15.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 blocks per game, shooting 65
percent from the field to lead the Hilltoppers to the third round of the Class 2A state tournament.
