Football Recap: Dexter Starts off Right with Win over Jal

Dexter had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 52-0 victory over the Jal Panthers. The Demons haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Dexter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cj Granados, who rushed for 50 yards and two scores, and also threw for 129 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Granados a new career-high. Alexis Castro was Granados' top target, picking up three receiving yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dexter will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against West Las Vegas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jal, they will challenge Santa Rosa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
