Football Game Preview: Lorena Leopards vs. China Spring Cougars + How To Watch

Lorena is 1-9 against China Spring since August of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Leopards will be playing at home against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. China Spring took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Lorena, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Lorena turned things around against Connally on Friday. They managed a 27-21 win over the Cadets.

Lorena didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brody Deleon and Jaxon Blancett. Chase Rohde was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks and making five total tackles.

Meanwhile, China Spring played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Gatesville, falling 27-7. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Hornets are ranked 145th).

China Spring's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lorena, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5.
