Softball Recap: Kennesaw Mountain Comes Up Short

Kennesaw Mountain lost against Woodstock back in August of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mustangs came up short against the Wolverines, falling 9-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since September 4th.

Kennesaw Mountain has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Woodstock, their victory bumped their record up to 8-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennesaw Mountain will take on South Paulding at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Woodstock, they will face off against Sprayberry at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
