Basketball Game Preview: Turlock Christian Eagles vs. Delta Saints

The Turlock Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Delta Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Turlock Christian is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight games dating back to last season on Monday. They took a 41-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gustine. The contest was a 20-20 toss-up at halftime, but the Eagles couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Turlock Christian had strong showings from Claire Betts, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 17 points along with six steals and five rebounds, and Christiana Eivaz, who posted eight points and 11 boards. Betts has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played.

Meanwhile, Delta lost to Mira Loma at home by a 32-18 margin on Monday.

Turlock Christian's record is now 0-2. As for Delta, their record now sits at an identical 0-2.

Everything came up roses for Turlock Christian against Delta in their previous meeting back in December of 2019, as the squad secured a 47-12 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
