Softball Recap: Pleasant Hill Falls Short Against Ranked Oak Grove

Pleasant Hill faced Oak Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Roosters/Chicks fell 14-10 to the Panthers. The Roosters/Chicks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The defeat snapped Pleasant Hill's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-5 record. As for Oak Grove, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Coming up, Pleasant Hill will head out to take on Sherwood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Marksmen have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.17 runs per game on average), something the Roosters/Chicks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Oak Grove, they will welcome Odessa at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
