Duluth East and Denfeld are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2015, but not for long. The Greyhounds will square off against the Hunters at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Duluth East is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, Duluth East came up short against North Branch and fell 22-12. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Vikings are ranked 90th).

Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for Denfeld, as they earned their first away win of the season. They strolled past Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 33-19. The Hunters' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Duluth East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Denfeld, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Duluth East was taken down by Denfeld 48-14 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Greyhounds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
