Volleyball Recap: Nimitz Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Nimitz and Lake Highlands have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Vikings came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-9, 25-7.

Nimitz's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Lake Highlands, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Nimitz is set to square off against their familiar foe Berkner at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lake Highlands will take on rival MacArthur at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
