Volleyball Recap: Morenci Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Morenci was the 3-0 winner over Desert Christian when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-12, 21-25, 25-22.

Desert Christian can attribute much of their success to Aliah Sanchez, who had 11 digs and four aces.

Morenci now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Desert Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.

Morenci will look to defend their home court on Monday against San Miguel at 6:00 p.m. The Wildcats are facing the Vipers at the right time seeing as the Vipers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Desert Christian, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Leading Edge Academy - GEC on the 18th.
