            Softball Recap: Alliance Bulldogs vs. Southern Valley/Alma        
        
		
        
        
            Alliance came out on top against Southern Valley/Alma  on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run sixth inning. The Bulldogs put the hurt on Southern Valley/Alma with a sharp  12-5 win. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered  a  16-3  loss the last time these two teams met.
 Regan Cornish made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Cornish was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  run.

 In other batting news,  Alivia Osborn was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and two  doubles. Those  two  doubles gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Kaiya Hudson, who  went 2-for-5 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 Alliance was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .455. They are 2-1 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Alliance's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Southern Valley/Alma, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the  defeat, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Looking ahead, Alliance will venture away from home to  square off against Gering  on Tuesday. This will  be Alliance's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Southern Valley/Alma, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gothenburg  at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday.
