Soccer Game Preview: Kirtland Central vs. Bloomfield

The Kirtland Central Broncos are taking a road trip to square off against the Bloomfield Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kirtland Central will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

If Kirtland Central beats Bloomfield with four goals on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Broncos blew past Aztec 4-1 on Thursday. It was an even better day for Angel Acosta as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Bloomfield fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Miyamura on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty ten goals in the game before, Bloomfield couldn't push the score so high this time.

Bloomfield's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-7. As for Kirtland Central, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5-1.

Kirtland Central might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Bloomfield when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Broncos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
