A well-balanced attack led Eunice over Jal in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Cardinals blew the Panthers out of the water with a 62-13 final score. With the Cardinals ahead 42-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

It was another big night for Elijah Melancon, who threw for 366 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 89.3% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. Those seven passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Eunice and bumps their season record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points over those games. As for Jal, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Eunice does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jal, they will take on Navajo Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 14.4 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
