Softball Recap: Platte Valley Broncos vs. Sterling Tigers
Platte Valley extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 10-13. They came up short against the Sterling Tigers, falling 12-2. The Broncos were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
Platte Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landree Edstrom, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
As for Sterling, they now have a winning record of 12-11. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by eight runs or more this season.
On Sterling's side, Lauren Emmerson was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Lambert, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
As of now, neither Platte Valley nor Sterling have any future games scheduled.
