Football Recap: Jal Triumphs Behind Punishing Ground Game + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Jal took on Tularosa on Friday. The Panthers came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 13-6. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 35-20 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Zadyn Lujan was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 150 yards. Daniel Ornelas was in the mix too, providing Jal with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Jal was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 268 rushing yards. They are 3-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Jal's record is now 3-4. As for Tularosa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Jal will head out to face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tularosa, they will venture away from home to square off against Loving at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
