Football Recap: Minneapolis Drops Highest Score of Season Against Halstead

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Minneapolis). They took down the Halstead Dragons 40-21 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Edric Zorn, who rushed for 95 yards and two scores. Halstead also got help from Wyatt Hobbs, who showed off his sure hands for 81 receiving yards.

Minneapolis now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Halstead, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Minneapolis will challenge Beloit on Friday. As for Halstead, they will square off against Ellsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons will need to watch out since the Bearcats have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
