Soccer Recap: Portales Gets the Win

Portales's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against the Kirtland Central Broncos by a score of 3-1. Portales found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Chris Treto and Jendry Gutierrez were both handed yellow cards.

Portales hit Kirtland Central with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ethan Najera, James Corder, and Josue Santos.

The win got Portales back to even at 1-1. As for Kirtland Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Portales wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Pagosa Springs on the 23rd. As for Kirtland Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against Grants on the 23rd.
