Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Nemaha Central walked away with it. They breezed past the West Franklin Falcons to the tune of 80-0 on Thursday. The Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Nemaha Central pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.2 points on average over those games. As for West Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Coming up, Nemaha Central will face off against Council Grove on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Thunder 11.1, the Braves 13.3) so any points scored will be well earned. West Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
