Kayla Smith has been named player of the year. "Kayla is an extremely gifted player in all aspects of the game. Not only is she the leader statistically, but she has been a great captain, is reliable, consistent, focused and a great role model. Without her leadership and talent, our team would have not reached our goals for the season of making tournament for the first time in history. She is a polite and well rounded young lady that has a great future in this sport. I am honored to have had such a talented young female athlete to lead to greater skills and she will be missed in our volleyball future, but has been an integral part of setting the standard for our entire program!"
