Sparta Trojans (Sparta, MO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Forsyth Panthers (Forsyth, MO), 53-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Sparta upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Trojans travel to Bradleyville (Bradleyville, MO) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 16. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Panthers play the Galena Bears (Galena, MO) in a Southwest Central bout, on Friday, December 10. Forsyth will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 66-47 non-league win over Riverview Bible Baptist Christian (Forsyth, MO).
