Moberly Spartans (Moberly, MO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Macon Tigers (Macon, MO), 62-61 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Moberly upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Spartans host Mexico (Mexico, MO) to encounter the Bulldogs in a North Central Missouri bout on Tuesday, January 4. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-0. Mexico won 63-42 in their recent non-league bout against Centralia (Centralia, MO)

Next up, the Tigers encounter the Brookfield Bulldogs (Brookfield, MO) in a Clarence Cannon bout, on Thursday, January 13. Macon will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
